About Us

Our Story

When David and Jayne George moved to Roseville in 1988, they envisioned and prayed for a new church that would attract people to the gospel of Jesus and grow people in the grace of God. Within nine months a nucleus of 35 people formed and took the risk of praying, giving, and committing themselves to reach out in love, authenticity, and mercy. So God was gracious and Valley Springs was born on March 5, 1989.

People soon discovered that this young church was passionate about the Bible, community, kids, mission, and creativity. Within several years, VS had earned a reputation in the Roseville community for its relational integrity, its theological depth, and its faithfulness to Christ's global mission. This has marked our ministry ever since.

In 23 years of ministry, Valley Springs has experienced an abundance of blessings from God. From a rare unity around the core of the gospel to a congregation of men and women who are dedicated, generous, and resourceful, VS is poised to keep improving the present and shape the future for the next generation.

Our Vision

VS2.0 | Next Generation is our vision to build upon our rich history and equip Valley Springs for future effectiveness. As God's purpose for us matures, and the calling for this next phase clarifies, we must refresh and adapt. VS2.0 is the next chapter of our life as a church: a chapter God is writing so we can improve the present and shape the future.
